Over the past few months I've been making a simple but very sentimental blanket. My great grandma died a few years ago and before she passed away she had begun a piece of knitting which my nan gave to me. I thought it'd be a lovely keep sake to have seeing as she lived to the grand old age of 94 and it's something she'd made so it became the centre piece of the blanket. Since then I've added squares to it which I've been knitting away at on and off for the past few months. I've also had my mum, sister and my two nannies knitting away so now it's a blanket that has been crafted by four generations and something I will treasure forever! I've had the squares for a while and recently started sewing them all together, it's really starting to come together now! I have quite a lot kore squares to sew on mind. I know it's not the most difficult thing to knit, especially as its only in knit stitch so it's very simple but the sentimentality of this blanket in the making is totally priceless ! :-)
