The Belated Birthday Blog Post

Hello festive beauties! Two days ago it was my 25th birthday. I want intending on doing a blog post but I got some beautiful goodies that I couldn't not share with you guys! I really was spoilt by my friends and family!

Sewing box- Cath Kidston
Laptop sleeve- Cath Kidston
Amazon voucher
Just Dance 2014
Sims 3
Camera- Panasonic Lumix DMC G3
Perfumes- Calvin Klein Eternity & Ralph Lauren Romace
Body shop- seaweed cleanser, toner & moisturiser & camomile eye makeup remover.

Incase you're not aware, I'm a huge huge Cath Kidston fan so recieving these bits was amaaaazing! I really want to start crafting with a needle and thread and this sewing box is perfect! The oilcloth material ensures it'll last for a lifetime, not to mention the pattern being timeless and classic. It's got lots of space to house plenty of bits so watch this space for sewing related posts! The laptop sleeve is also a gem, again the oilcloth material makes it sturdy and perfect for housing my laptop whilst being stylish and oh so pretty!! I love how well made cath kidston products are and always so beautiful.

I recueved two perfumes this year- one a firm favourite and one a fragrance I've never tried. The Ralph Lauren romance is a huge favourite of mine, having a beautiful scent and has real longevity. I've done a blog post dedicated to this perfume so check that out for more info! The bottle I recueved is huuuuge and guaranteed to last me a long time! The Calvin Klein eternity scent is something I wouldn't pick myself as I tend to go for romantic scent perfumes however I'm really loving this one. It's a fresh scent that smells quite green with notes of citrus in it. I find it really refreshing and awakening to wear and really loving it! The scent is also very long lasting. Perhaps I should open my eyes to other scents like this in the future.

I also opened some firm favourite beauty products- the body shop seaweed cleanser, toner and moisturiser and the camomile eye makeup remover. I swear by these products for oily skin. Again I have done an in depth blog post on these if you'd like to check those out.

Now onto my absolute baby- the panasonic lumix g3 camera. I have been longing for a decent camera for such a long time!! These iphone photos don't do it justice I can assure you. It's a thing of beauty! I love the flip screen which will be excellent for my you tubing and selfies for my blog so expect some better quality photos from now on! I've taken some of these photos with it today and just love it. It makes photographing that much easier and great quality. I still need to have a play around and figure out the settings but from what I've taken so far I am so so happy with it! ^_^

I also recueved this amazing bicycle. I've not had a new bicycle since I was 12? And to say I've outgrown it is an understatement. I love the look of this bike, it's chunky wheels and modern white frame- much nicer than a pink bike to define it as a girls bike. I've been loving bike rides in the sun- one of the huge perks of living in Cyprus! I can't say too much about this bike as I'm no expert but I loooove it!

Below are a few snaps of what I got up to on the day. Drinking cider in the sun was so cool. I've never been in a warm place for my birthday and it's usually freezing on my birthday (it's the shortest day of the year too) so sitting outside in a tshirt was pretty awesome. I then went to an amazing restaurant called Oshi in Limassol. It's a real experience as the tables are interactive and you order everything from touching the icons in the table! If you ever get the chance to go I would highly recommend it. It's Asian cuisine and tastes just amazing!

So that was my birthday! So close to Christmas so now I'm super excited for that! Probably my last post before Xmas now so have a great one guys!

My winter beauty favourites

Hello lovelies, it's nearly Christmas! And tomorrow is my birthday- woohoo!! I cannot wait! This may well be my last post before Christmas now and with the weather being rather chilly (even in Cyprus), I thought I'd do a post on my favourite winter beauty products.

I've been loving quite a few clarins products of late. It's not something I'd usually buy due to the more high end price tag but I thought I'd indulge myself a bit. The beauty flash balm has been a life saver over the festive period for parties, keeping my make up in place for hours and giving a nice glow to my skin. It glides on easily and a little bit goes a long way to create the perfect base for my foundation. I used this a few weeks ago for an all day makeup and it lasted over twelve hours!! Very impressed. I also picked up the hand and nail cream which has a lovely creamy citrus type scent to it (I guess that's the best way to describe it?) and leaves my hands feeling replenished and soft. The cream sinks into really easily and doesn't leave my hands slimy or greasy.

I've also come back to my no7 skin illuminator. It's a great highlighter- not too shimmery and gives a lovely healthy glow for the dull days. The only thing that did annoy me with this was the brush in the end as is got clogged up regularly so I chopped it off and apply it to the back of my hand before applying to me face.

I've also gotten into moisturising my face of a night time as the cold air and heating is very drying on my skin and it's been looking quite dehydrated. This bodyshop seaweed clarifying night treatment is great for hydration as well as keeping my oily skin mattified. It's really refreshing too!

Now onto my favourite product by this works. After Lisa Eldridge's high recommendation on this product I took the plunge and bought it. This perfect look skin miracle is a very light tinted moisturiser packed full of skin goodies such as vitamin e and c and hyaluronic acid and really brightens the skin. It's got a lovely tinted formula which makes the skin look slightly tanned. This has been a godsend to mix with my foundation for less of heavy coverage and a sunkissed look as well as nourishing my skin.

Aaaand back to clarins! This palette has been sat at the back of my makeup collection for a loooong time- I'd totally forgotten it had existed but I'm so glad i rediscovered it! The rose gold eyeshadow is the perfect day colour and is really complimenting my skin colour after the Cyprus sun. I love the blush for giving shape and colour to my face too and again looks great with a tan! Happy days! The packaging is also gorgeous, so glad I treated myself to this, it really is beautiful.

And finally a lip colour which is very popular (with most bloggers to be honest!) the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 107. I bought this colour last year and I'm still mad for it. It's a lovely consistency as it's not too creamy nor drying on the lips and has a fair amount of staying power as well as being an on trend colour. I also think it compliments my skin tone when I'm paler and also when I'm tanned, horrah..

So those are my winter beauty favourites! I hope you guys like them and let me know what you're loving at the moment. And if I don't do another post before- have a Merry Christmas!

The Festive Red Jumper

It's that time of year again! The Christmas jumper is out! Well.. My take on it anyway...

Jumper- Joe Browns
Knitted leggings- Primark
Cardigan- George
Hi-Tops- Converse

I got this jumper last year as a birthday present (my birthday is coming up yay!) and I love wearing it around the festive period as a cosy pick me up. The cap sleeves are puffed up and give a cheerful feel along with the lovely jolly owl on the front. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to go the whole hog with a full on festive jumper so this is my take on it. Not exactly fashion forward but hey- it's Christmas!

Wooly leggings, a pair of converse and a cardi slung on over the top and voila I'm good to go. I thought I'd try braiding my hair overnight for once too. We've had some really cold weather here in Cyprus and my hair and skin have really dried out so I'm trying to lay off my hot tools. Not sure I love it though?

Anyway that's today's outfit, I hope you guys like it. What are you wearing over the festive period?

The Christmas Party

Tonight I'm babysitting for friends whilst they head out for their Christmas party so I thought I'd show y'all what I wore to my better halfs do last Friday!

Dress- Warehouse
Heels- River Island
Bag- Aubrey

In hindsight I should have photographed me in it prior to the party but it was dark and I took ages getting ready! Hey ho.. Anyway I decided to go for a dress with colour. This time of year is pretty gloomy and with that in mind I opted to steer clear of anything black and go for something that stands out- plus everyone wears black! I feel like this dress looks a bit ice like? The blues and the greys giving a wintery type of look but it also looks good in the summer- winner! It's a warehouse dress which usually I wouldn't go for but they had some decent pieces last summer aaaand I nabbed this in the sales! The sequin detail around the busy really adds to the festive Christmassy feel.

The heels I love to pieces but with them being nubuck they show up every mark, scuff and scrape but they've lasted me four years and still going strong! I only recently purchased a bag to match. This Aubrey one is almost identical in colour which I was so chuffed with, ordering it from ASOS so couldn't be sure of the true colour. I have altered it slightly as the strap did have gold chain around it originally which to me made it look cheap. Apart from that it's a great bag with plenty of space (for flat shoes!) and again bought in the sales. I'm such a savvy shopper ;-).

Okay so here's one snap of me from the night. Slightly spangled on cheap wine (which I paid for the next day) but none the less having a great time with my lovely Christopher!

What are you wearing to your Christmas do? I'd love to see what everyone else is wearing! But most importantly have a great time, dance your socks off and embrace the festive period!

Merry Christmas,

Review: Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter

Just before I moved to Cyrpus I thought I best stock up on some Body Shop staples and whilst purchasing these essentials I came across this cleansing butter. I must admit I was suckered in pretty quickly, it looks pretty, smells luuush and the sales assistant was raving about it so I thought I'd give it a try for myself!

I've been using this on and off for the last few months and if I'm honest I've been umming and arring on whether I like it? As I've said it smells amazing, much more fragrant than the eye makeup removers but perhaps that's because they're aimed to be gentle? The texture is smooth and glides onto the skin well but on my skin it felt as though it left a greasy residue so maybe it's not so good on oily skin types... I also wouldn't recommend it for eye make-up removal, not with cotton will pass anyway. I tried using it with pads but it doesn't remove mascara all that well and left my eye lids greasy. For overall makeup removal however it worked well.

I'm still a firm supporter of cream liquid cleansers, being a real lover of the body shop seaweed range but this cleansing butter would great for on the go, as the consistency is great for travelling, could even be popped into your hangbag as well as overnight bag. I also think it's good for days when you haven't worn makeup but want to cleanse your face, but for everyday use of removing heavy duty makeup? Not so much.

Overall I'd say this product is good for a quick go-to make up removal if you have a light makeup on or to overall cleanse the face but not best for oily skin!

I hope this helps and everyone's enjoying their Friday. If any of you have tried it please let me know what you think :-).
