OOTD- No Frills Fur

I’ll be honest with you all- I’m not over the moon with how this came out. My wonderful partner in crime has been working away so I had no one to take snaps for me in some pretty outdoor setting and I haven’t quite found a place in the house that I love for outfit snaps (hence these shit photos!!)

Please forgive me and lets get on with the outfit!

Fur Coat- River Island
Jeans- Abercrombie & Fitch
Trainers- Converse
Tee- H&M

I love this fur coat from River Island, it’s impressively soft for faux fur and feels really luxurious. Now I don’t know if it’s just me but I always find that I generally wear fur coats for special occasions, nights out or any general dressing up scenario but today I just wanted to wear it casual and why not? It sure as hell is cold enough and this beaut really keeps you warm. I paired it with my favourite ever jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch which are honestly the best fitting jeans I have ever owned in my entire life. The denim is so comfy and soft.

I quite like how undone and casual this outfit is and plan to dig my fur coat out more now. It’s brilliant for weekends away to be worn with jeans in the day and transformed of an evening with a little black dress and heels.

I also filmed this outfit. If you want to see more, click the video below:

What’s your verdict? How do you pair your fur coat with?

P.S I’ll find somewhere to take outfit pics and videos that’s better next time!! xx

Outfit of the Day: What up shortie

My god is it windy in Cyprus today! It's actually infuriating trying to photograph an outfit with your hair blowing in all directions and your shorts blowing at unattractive angles (see first pic below!)

Top- New Look
Shorts- Primark
Heels- River Island
Necklace- Primark
Bracelet- present
Clutch bag- Ark

I featured these shorts in my recent Primark haul and they have quickly become a firm favourite in my wardrobe as they're so versatile! I've styled them for more of an evening look here which I think they look great for! They're super light weight which is great for the heat so can easily be worn to the beach or days out. As they're high waisted I thought I'd brave the mid riff being on show and opted for this simple crop top from New look. I think it's a really cute pairing, that and the chunky statement necklace to give it an edgy feel and again evening look. These flatforms are super comfy so perfect for hot summer nights dancing. And for once I'm not wearing my hair like a big long mop (which usually I love). It's too darn hot and windy! I'm loving braids right now and think a fishtail looks so pretty for day or night.

Do you have these shorts or similar? How would you style them?

Don't forget to check the video too ^_^.

Uni Outfit of the Day

Hello strangers. It's been a while for me, AWOL for two weeks! Tut tut... I do apologise but I've been bogged down with revision, coursework and sending out my C.V. Im currently employed as a student and my contract is up at the end of August along with my degree so I'll be qualified and jobless as it were :-(. So yeah I've been frantically putting my C.V together and writing letters to potential employers about how wonderful I am! But with that in mind I need to finish my course which has gone oh so wonderfully to plan today as I've missed my bloody train to uni! Argh! I had a while until the next train so thought I'd film a super quick OOTD and a blogpost which I'm editing on the train as we speak!Hope you enjoy ^_^.

Jacket- River Island
Jeggings- Topshop
Tee- H&M
Bracelets- Homemade & H&M
Trainers- Converse hi-tops (bought from ASOS)

Todays outfit is about comfort, some spring warmth and some lighter spring colours. I recently picked up this jacket from River Island and think it's a great updated piece for Spring with the colours pairing with most things plus it makes a change from a denim jacket. I love the boucle texture. I'm loving my Topshop acid wash jeggings too as they pair nicelywith pastel colours and just generally give more of a spring summery feel to an outfit. And as for the weather...one minute it's sunny and the next it's raning so Converse are my footwear of choice which are also comfy as hell for a long day of uni, trapsing up and down the eight flights of stairs to my classroom! It's quite a simple look but I think it speaks for itself and I'm currently in love with it.

Check out my accompanying video for this look below:

I hope you're all well! Can you also enlighten me as to how I find other peoples blogs on here? I'm not sure how, simple Kat ^_^. I'm hoping to post a bit more regularly next week so until then...
