Recently I completed the 100 Happy Days challenge. My sister originally introduced me to it and I decided to start it on 1st January.

The challenge is easy. You sign up to 100happydays.com and then post a photo each day of something that made you happy on a social media site of your choice, using the hashtag #100happydyas and a hashtag of your own. Mine was #100hapydaysofkat. The photo you post can be anything from a song to a feeling as long as it made you happy- simple!
According to 100happydays.com 71% of people fail at this challenge, the main excuse being not enough time. I actually find this really sad. Surely there was some happiness in their day? Do you really not have time to be happy!? Even on the shittiest of days I found at least one happy and positive thing that made me smile. Maybe not outwardly but definitely on the inside and that's what the challenge is about. You learn to appreciate the little things and become happier and more positive in the process.
I chose Instagram as my social media platform to post my photographs and I'll admit it
According to the 100 Happy Days website:
"People successfully completing the challenge claimed to:
– Start noticing what makes them happy every day;
– Be in a better mood every day;
– Start receiving more compliments from other people;
– Realize how lucky they are to have the life they have;
– Become more optimistic;
– Fall in love during the challenge."
I definitely noticed my mood was a lot better and realised how lucky I am to have what I have in life and would highly recommend everyone give this challenge a go.
At the end of the challenge if you post your story on 100happydays.com you can get your 100 happy moments printed. It's a lovely memento and I'm thinking of putting mine into an album or frame as a cheerful reminder.
So will you be giving the challenge a go? #100happydaysdone
