In the middle of March I had the sheer pleasure of finally meeting blogger and all round mega babe Sally Morgan-Moore when she hosted her fabulous #OriginsinBLOOM event in Cambridge.
Donned in a floral get up to match the event theme, I headed to the Cambridge flagship Origins store for an evening of skincare, tea, cake and lots more. As we walked in we were warmly greeted by Sally and an amazing wall of flowers- perfect for the gram. I couldn’t help but stop and have my photo taken in front of it! Sally’s husband Lloyd had his camera poised and ring light set up for the occasion which was perfect for the many snaps us bloggers like to take!
The evening began with a glass of fizz and a talk from the Origins team on their latest skincare, with the lovely Lucy being their model for the skincare. Her skin was absolutely glowing afterwards and mega soft! Yes I touched Lucy’s face...
I also got to meet Charlotte from Charlotte Steggz who again I’ve had lots of chats with on Instagram and Twitter but never had the pleasure of meeting IRL until then. She was just as lovely in the flesh as she is on social media and looked thoroughly relaxed having her head massage. So much so that it enticed me to have one too!
We were all treated to various pampering from the Origins team such as head rubs and hand massages. I cheekily had both and my oh my did they relax me! With the head massage, I breathed in tea tree and mint oil before the massage began which instantly soothes you. Its then worked through your hair and scalp leaving it feeling tingly long after the treatment is finished. It was heavenly and perfect after a long drive!
Now my strap line for the blog which you may well already know is "Find some time for tea and wine" so when presented with cups of delicious tea courtesy of Whittards and home baked cakes from Sally's husband, I was overjoyed! Who doesn't love a decent brew and some cake to wash it down? I have to say Lloyds cakes looked bloomin beautiful and tasted seriously scrummy too. They put my baking to shame and looked perfect as part of the event's floral theme.
To top it off there was crafting! Yes! In the form of card making which made my inner crafter extreeemly happy. Kelia Calver from Cleverpacks showed us how a simple design but stunning design with the use of watercolour pens, pencils and a lot of gluing, sticking and stamping! I was truly in my element and have since sent my handmade card to a friend for their birthday.
I was in the market for some new moisturiser, having used up the last of my Steam Cream so decided to go with the Origins drink up intensive overnight mask to quench my skins thirst and work its magic overnight.
All in all the event was brilliant and Sally did an absolutely amazing job of hosting the event.
She proper bossed it and made me and I'm sure everyone else felt incredibly welcome and relaxed and I can’t wait for the next one!
Have you been to an Origins event?
